News

War in Ukraine

Drones, death, the twain reach into the hearts and minds of the peasantry. The well-heeled turn away from the fracas. The specter of nuclear annihilation is always a hot topic, though. Even in Cold War 2.0, the machines get graceful, not necessarily loving.

Zipline Cashes Out

Air-dropping anything. Again, I just dread the thought of the air full of drones hauling fast food, toilet paper, cat litter and everyday sundries.

Slow week

I visited some unappealing towns and a bland lake.

I have a mourning dove nesting in my spiderwork/purple-heart/wandering jew/inchplant hanging plant on my balcony. We can still go out there without bothering the bird. It made a nest within 24 hours before laying the egg.

I have been doing a lot of reading this week.

Best Pizzaria in Pittsburgh
Fiori himself brought a pizza to our table on Mother’s Day and said, “We fix you up.” Cannot recommend a better pizzaria in Pittsburgh. We devoured everything we ordered and went home happy. They were super nice. You gotta go have something there.
Community Service

I spent the morning on Saturday planting flowers for a community development project. I planted almost 200 small flowers in beds and around trees. The Perennial Project do it every year, so I helped out on the eve of Mother’s Day. We planted over a thousand shrubs and flowers before a hot dry spell, but on the eve of a cool spring rain.

It feels good to give back. Also, it was like free yoga, but filthy. This weekend I will get photos of “Pike Days”, a revelry among the local patches. It’s like a 100-mile yard sale that seems to emerge from roadside houses and shops. I will try to capture some of it.

Something else

Not really. I heard FAA is backlogged 2 years for operational waivers. I can’t even.

Projects

  • Ground-pounding for a mechatronics job.
  • Working with a local historical society to raise the profile of its sites.
  • Catching up on research.
  • Enrolled in a coding bootcamp.
  • Endurance training.
  • Scouting my next filming session.

Remote Sensing and Technical Services

Marketing, education, defense, infrastructure, community, agriculture, and leisure

I noticed “medical” could be formed from an acronym of the list of industries that drones access. They are cheap, safe, and easy to use. Consider hiring a drone pilot to help your business reach new heights.

Old Gold

Pittsburgh in winter

That empty lot facing the river is a perfect location for drone flight out over the river.

Older Gold

Ask about large prints. Ask me to paint an image in oils. Recreate an image in CAD, print it. The name of the game is “paid production”.
